California Medical Marijuana Card For Medical Cannabis Clubs.

Sixteen states in the U.S. now have laws that supply for the lawful use of marijuana. The largest part famous of these states is California, which notably has quite liberal medical marijuana system. But if you have a medical marijuana card in California, can you take that with you to New Jersey? Or can you be arrested for marijuana possession?

Although New Jersey newly passed a law that would allow legal uses of medical marijuana, the medical marijuana laws is far more warning than California’s law, and has not yet become completely functional. Anyone who possesses marijuana within the state, even if that possession is for a medical purpose, has dedicated an offense within the state.

This week, a man with card of medical marijuana in California is protecting himself against New Jersey cannabis clubs possession charges. The judge in the case ruled that the man, named Ed Forchion, can defend against the charges by arguing that he has the lawful right to use medical marijuana based on California law.

We should know the result of the trial, and whether the law of California is appreciated in New Jersey. Despite a great number of states with medical cannabis clubs legislation, there are only a few states whose laws touch on the idea of reciprocity, which is the acknowledgment of that state that medical marijuana laws of another state are lawful there. In Arizona, Montana, and Michigan, travelers do not need to worry that they will be charged with drug control if they have the legal right to utilize marijuana in another state. New Jersey’s law is silent on the issue, however.

This has not been a excellent month for medical marijuana advocates. One appellate court ruled that cities and counties in California have the right to ban medical marijuana dispensaries. This ruling is a published opinion but will be appealed. In another case, the Court ruled that Cities and Counties that give permits to medical marijuana collectives are violating state law.
